NOC - IOC Cooperation and Partnership to Enhance Energy Security

The International Energy Forum and the Government of Kuwait held a Forum on "NOCs-IOCs cooperation and partnership to enhance energy security". The Forum hosted and sponsored by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, on 30-31 March 2009 in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

The Forum gathered senior decision makers from National and International Oil Companies, representatives from producing and consuming countries, as well as service companies, financial sector and experts, in order to promote an exchange of views on prospective aspects and identify ways and means to enhance cooperation and partnership between NOCs and IOCs.

The objective of the Forum is to promote discussions and understanding of some of the key issues facing the oil industry (both IOCs and NOCs) in volatile and uncertain times and formulate recommendations on how IOCs-NOCs cooperation could enhance global energy security.
