10th Gas Arabia Summit

Secretary General Flores-Quiroga participated in this high-level conference focused on the drivers and evolution of international gas supply and demand. In his keynote address on "International gas markets: shifting strategies and perceptions among producers and consumers”, he explained how key players in the world’s three main regional gas markets are adjusting their policies and partnerships in light of new realities. He emphasized the work of the JODI partners to bring greater transparency in gas markets, explained the challenges behind the construction of the JODI gas database, and the contribution it makes to market stability.
Over 100 industry leaders and experts gathered for this two-day event, which featured a meeting of a Gas Flaring Reduction Working Group, an initiative led by the World Bank. The summit was inaugurated by HE Dr Matar Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Energy, United Arab Emirates, who shared with the audience the roadmap for the UAE’s gas strategy.
