IEF Lecture: ExxonMobil's 2018 Outlook for Energy: A View to 2040

The IEF welcomed Mr Rob Gardner, Manager for the Economics & Energy Division of the ExxonMobil Corporate Strategic Planning Department at its Riyadh headquarters on 18 February 2018. Mr Gardner presented the 2018 Outlook for Energy: A View to 2040 which provides ExxonMobil’s perspective on energy demand and supply through 2040. The report informed a distinguished audience of diplomats, industry representatives and academic researchers on the company’s long-term global view of factors that will shape the world’s energy future. Findings from the outlook support ExxonMobil’s business strategies and investment plans to navigate through the changing energy market environment. The re-conceptualised report includes various alternative scenarios adding important insights to help inform an open and transparent energy dialogue from the perspective of a key energy sector stakeholder.
