2nd IEF-Pillsbury Roundtable: Cybersecurity in the Global Energy Sector

The IEF and law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP held the second in a series of one-day public roundtable events in Washington DC on 8 October 2015. Entitled "Cybersecurity in the Global Energy Sector", the event opened with a keynote address by Congressman Will Hurd, and featured a discussion session on Cybersecurity and Energy Infrastructure in addition to three roundtable sessions:

Roundtable 1 – The Cybersecurity Threats and Policy Landscape in 2015.

Roundtable 2 – Prepare, Organize and Respond. Managing in the Modern Cybersecurity Age.

Roundtable 3 – Regulatory Trends: Export Controls, Sanctions and Data Privacy in the Cybersecurity Age.

Featured speakers included Congressman Will Hurd, Member, House Committee on Homeland Security, and Chairman, Information Technology Subcommittee, House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform; Jennifer Silk, Senior Advisor for Cyber, Office of the Secretary, Department of Energy; Dr Carol Hawk, Manager, Cybersecurity for Energy Delivery Systems Program, Department of Energy; Bob Rarog, Senior Advisor, Bureau of Industry & Security, Department of Commerce; Chad Fulgham, Co-Founder & Chairman, PerCredo LLC, (former FBI Chief Information Officer); Michael Madon, RedOwl Analytics, (Former Deputy Assistant Secretary, Department of Treasury); Ria Thomas, Principal and Senior Director for Cybersecurity, Obsidian Analysis Inc.; and thought-leaders from numerous other companies and government agencies.
