7th Oil Forum

The IEF was invited to participate in the Energy Community’s 7th Oil Forum held in Belgrade, Serbia on 8-9 September 2015. Mr Fuad Al-Zayer, the IEF’s Coordinator Energy Data Transparency (JODI) delivered a presentation about the JODI initiative. His presentation emphasised the need for increasing engagement and collaboration with Energy Community countries highlighting the importance of Stock Data as a key element in the quest to improve energy data transparency and so aid market stability.
The IEF and its JODI partners have been working with the Energy Community throughout 2015 to encourage participation of their member countries in the Initiative. Ukraine, Moldova and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia now participate in the Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI) by submitting their monthly oil and gas data for publication in the JODI database. Montenegro and Serbia are expected to begin participating in JODI very soon, with the remaining three Contracting Parties (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo*) set to be ready by the end of 2015. The IEF and JODI Partners are committed to work with the Energy Community in support of these positive outcomes.
